Building Automation and Controls (BAC) - Central Plant
Building Automation and Controls (BAC) is responsible for the operation, calibration and maintenance of temperature controls for room comfort and special cooling systems that use chilled water generated by Central Plant.
Examples of Non-billable Services:
- Control temperatures
- Repair/replace existing temperature control equipment
- Adjust air flow to particular areas
- Establish/check for proper fresh air mix
- Modify scheduled run times for air conditioning
- Verify flow on building and laboratory exhaust systems
BAC also assists with remodeled or modified areas by restoring/installing controls and re balancing the remodeled air supply. These are considered to be chargeable services.
Examples of Billable Services:
- Restore control to remodeled or modified spaces
- Install new controls in remodeled spaces
- Re balance remodeled air supply
