Course Description

The ASU Business Administrators Symposium is a three day program designed to provide resources and training sessions structured specifically for those performing business administrator duties in ASU’s academic, research & administrative departments.  The Business Administrators Symposium program was developed by Financial Services and several other university departments including:

  • Office of General Counsel
  • Office of Planning & Budget
  • Office of Human Resources
  • University Audit & Advisory Services
  • University Business Services
  • Grant & Contract Accounting
  • Environmental Health & Safety
  • ASU Foundation

Business Administrators attending the Symposium will have the opportunity to:

  • Dialogue with high level University Administrators and Senior Management
  • Meet and network with Business Administrators throughout ASU
  • Increase understanding of the critical role Business Administrators hold in a complex business environment
  • Acquire valuable resources and enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills through interactive presentations and breakout sessions

Prerequisite Information:

  • It is recommended that you have been functioning as a Business Administrator at ASU for a minimum of six months before attending the Symposium.
  • The online Cash Handling and Purchasing Card training modules must be completed prior to the Symposium. If you have already completed the online training sessions, you do not need to take them again. Please complete both modules even if you currently do not have cash handling or purchasing card responsibilities. Each session will take approximately 20 – 45 minutes.
