The environmental affairs division is responsible for protecting human health and the environment, and for promoting and maintaining environmental regulatory compliance. Specific programs include hazardous waste management and incident response, industrial wastewater monitoring, laboratory safety audits and compliance, underground storage tanks, air pollution permitting, infectious waste management, and indoor air quality.
