Daily Department Mail

The First Class Division in University Mail Services is for the sorting and delivery of all the daily USPS incoming and intercampus mail for departments on the Tempe and Downtown Phoenix campuses. The First Class Division provides delivery and pick-up services to over 340 mail codes between 8:30am-Noon each day.

The staff in the First Class Division also process and apply postage to all the daily outgoing USPS mail for Tempe, Downtown Phoenix and Polytechnic campuses. They pick up the daily outgoing USPS and intercampus mail when they deliver mail to the Tempe and Downtown Phoenix Campus. The Polytechnic campus delivers their daily outgoing mail to University Mail Services each day.

Mailboxes are located on the Tempe campus for outgoing mail and these are picked up in the afternoon. Daily department mail picked up at departments, daily mail received from the Polytechnic campus, mail obtained from our mailboxes and daily department mail delivered to us before 2:30pm is guaranteed to be processed the same day.

The First Class Division on the Tempe campus is a centralized location for intercampus mail exchange between campuses.
