International Mail
Foreign Addresses
Mail cannot be sent to foreign countries at the standard profit or nonprofit rate. However, these addresses can be included in your mailing and sent at the regular international rates. If your mailing list includes international addresses, please be sure to note this on the Mail Processing Request Form (MPRF).
If you are including international addresses in your mailing list and wish us to process these addresses, your address data file must be formatted as follows:
Recipient Name
Street Address or PO Box
City
Province, State or County
Postal Code
Country Code
Country Name (no abbreviations)
The country and country code cannot be entered in the same field as the city, state or zip code as our system will try to match that data with an address in the United States – and it often will come up with an incorrect match. Please note that the US Postal Service requires that the bottom line of each international address show only the COUNTRY name, written in full (no abbreviations). Example:
Mrs. Helen Saunders
1010 Clear Street
Ottawa ON K1A 0B1
CANADA
Overseas military addresses must contain the APO or FPO designation along with a two-character "state" abbreviation of AE, AP or AA and the zip code. For example:
City State Zip
APO AE 09001-5275
FPO AP 96606-2783
APO AA 34035-4198
