Moving and Event Services

Moving and Event Services is responsible for moving existing equipment and furniture on the Tempe campus and supplying equipment for University-sponsored events.

If you want make a new request to this service area, please use our Service Request Form . For general inquiries regarding ongoing or scheduled work, please feel free to contact Moving and Event Services at 480.965.1833 during regular business hours (7:00 am through 5:30 pm M-F).

Services are performed on a "date requested" basis, or in order of receipt. Moving requests and requests for equipment which cannot be provided due to labor or availability constraints will not be the responsibility of Moving and Event Services. Lists of approved contractors and/or suppliers will be made available on request. The supervisor of Moving and Event Services will help with contractor arrangements but all contractor costs will be the responsibility of the requesting unit. It is advisable to give as much advance notice as possible. Two weeks is usually acceptable.

Moving and Event Services does not charge for:

• Moving furniture and equipment on the Tempe Campus
• Pickup and delivery of salvageable furniture and equipment to/from the Surplus Property facility
• Supply equipment for University-recognized events

Moving and Event Services does charge for:

• Moving services associated with, or as a result of:

1. Renovation or remodeling projects
2. New construction
3. Third party contracts
4. Carpet installation
5. Off campus services

Tables, chairs and related equipment for University-sponsored clubs and organizations are available. Each group must be prepared to provide necessary labor for pick-up and return as conditions dictate. Users will be charged for equipment not returned, or returned in a damaged condition. The following equipment is available:

• Folding leg banquet tables - 6' x 30" x 29"
• Round tables - 60" and 54"
• Folding chairs
• White "patio" arm chairs
• White armless "bistro" chairs
• Podiums
• Easels
• Sign standards
• Coat racks
• Dressing mirrors
• Trash containers
• Packing boxes (Charges apply)
