Courier Service Continues to Serve Campus Community
University Mail Services is pleased to announce the continuation of its Courier Service operation for the campus community. Information previously released from Mail Services to faculty and staff indicated that, due to financial constraints, this service would soon be provided by an outside vendor. However, Mail Services administrators have worked diligently to arrange for the Courier Service to be sustained within the university. As a result, ASU colleges and departments can continue to rely on Mail Services to make quick, efficient, same-day deliveries to recipients across all four campuses and throughout the Valley.
Although a 5-10 percent price increase is necessary, the university-operated courier service will maintain its competitive rates. From general correspondence to confidential items, Mail Services’ couriers ensure accurate delivery. The courier service delivers a wide range of documents and packages; please contact Mail Services for specific guidelines. Mail delivery options include any of the four ASU campuses or other locations in the Valley. Signature capture and tracking information is an added feature of this dependable courier service. ASU business systems ordered from the ASU Print & Imaging Lab, such as letterhead, notepads and business cards, will also continue to be sent via the Mail Services courier service.
“We understand the important role the courier service plays in servicing each campus with same-day delivery,” says Mail Services director Linda Augustine. “It fills the void of having only once daily mail delivery to our ever-expanding campuses. A small price increase will help offset our budgetary loss and allow us to keep the process in-house. This, in turn, will keep overall University costs down and we will be able to continue providing this valuable and timely service to our customers.”
Contact Mail Services at courierasu@asu.edu or call them at 480.965.1263 to request a courier pick-up, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.
