Secure Flight Program

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has implemented the new Secure Flight program in early 2009. TSA requires (in phases) airlines to collect from passengers and transmit to TSA the following required information:

Full Name
Date of Birth
Gender

Domestic Flights.  The first phase began May 15, 2009 and requires traveler’s full name at the time of booking.  The second phase will be effective August 15, 2009 and requires the travelers date of birth and gender at the time of booking.

International Flights.  Effective October 31, 2009, traveler’s full name, date of birth, and gender will be required at the time of booking.

University Departments using AdTrav.  AdTrav has fully implemented  the new Secure Flight Program phased requirements.  AdTrav is requiring the traveler’s full name, date of birth, and gender at the time of reservations.
