One Permit For Many Places
In keeping with the philosophy of “One University in Many Places,” PTS understands that students and employees need access to park at two, three, sometimes all four of ASU’s campuses. This is why ASU parking permits (with the exception of Polytechnic residence hall permits and West campus evening permits) are valid in designated lots at each of the other ASU campuses. When a permit holder is displaying their permit and parking in one of these designated lots on another campus it is called reciprocal parking. View the list of reciprocal parking lots.
When permit holders park outside their assigned parking location on their “home” campus during evening/non-peak hours, this is called cross-parking. Cross-parking allows for greater flexibility to park near one’s classroom building for night classes or near other campus destinations for activities taking place in the evening. Once cross-parking hours begin at each campus, permit holders can use their permits (as long as it’s not a Polytechnic residence hall or West campus evening permit) to park in any lot, structure or zone where cross-parking is allowed at any campus. Learn more about cross-parking and where it is permitted.
Reciprocal parking and cross-parking are just two more ways PTS is making students’ and employees’ parking permits more valuable, more useful and more able to meet the needs of the campus community members’ varied schedules.
