Have you heard the buZZ at all four of ASU’s campuses? It’s the excitement surrounding the eaZy way to get from campus to all of the places you love to go – It’s Zipcar!

Zipcar vehicles have recently arrived at the Polytechnic and West campuses. All Zipcar members can reserve these cars, or any of the 17 cars in the ASU Zipcar fleet, to drive to the grocery store, shopping mall or an evening out with friends. To celebrate the Zipcar program’s expansion to the West and Polytechnic campuses, PTS is celebrating with food, fun and, did we mention, FREE RIDES?

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, PTS staff will be at the West campus to provide information about how ASU students and employees can become members of Zipcar for just $35. To further illustrate the convenience of Zipcar, students and employees at the West campus can sign up to take a free ride in a Zipcar to either the nearest Target, Fry’s or Metrocenter. Look for more details in the coming week.

This same hands-on event will take place at the Polytechnic campus on Thursday, Oct. 29. Free rides will be offered to Gilbert Gateway Towne Center and to San Tan Village.

With 17 cars in the ASU fleet spanning the four campuses, Zipcar gives you wheels when you want them. Prior sign up and approval is needed, but once individuals become Zipcar members they can reserve a car to use for rates as low as $8 per hour – gas included! ASU departments can also sign up for membership. Work-related trips are simply billed back to the department. Sign up today at www.zipcar.com/asu.
