ASU Service Providers

In the last few years there have been several events at our campuses caused by service providers either failing to comply with or not being aware of ASU policies and government regulatory requirements.  These events have lead to large monetary penalties, adverse media attention to the university and even employee illnesses and near misses that could have resulted in serious injury.  To address this trend EH&S is working with CPMG, the Purchasing Department, and General Council to develop a Service Provider Acknowledgement process that will clearly communicate to any ASU service provider what our policies are.  It will also document that any service provider at ASU acknowledges regulatory requirements and agrees to follow them.  If for some reason they do not, it provides an avenue for ASU to terminate any agreement or service contract without penalty to us.
