Parking Permits: Cross-Parking
Permit holders must park in the assigned structure, lot or zone indicated on their permit. However, cross-parking is a privilege that allows ASU permit holders to park outside of their assigned structure, lot or zone in the evening/non-peak hours.
- A vehicle must still display a valid ASU permit when cross-parking.
- Cross-parking hours vary and it is prohibited in certain parking structures and lots.
- Please adhere to posted signs at each location that indicate when cross-parking is allowed.
- Cross-parking is NOT permitted in disabled, carpool, reserved, ASU service vehicle or other restricted spaces.
At the Tempe Campus, cross-parking is permitted after 4pm in most parking lots and structures, unless otherwise posted.
Due to increased traffic congestion in and around certain lots and structures, cross-parking is prohibited in the following locations:
- Cross-parking in Lot 16 is not permitted until 6pm, Mon-Fri.
- The Apache Blvd. Structure and 10th Street Structure are closed to cross-parking on the weekdays, but are available for cross-parking on Friday after 4pm.
- Cross-parking is permitted for Tempe Campus residence hall permit holders in Lot 57 after 4pm, Mon-Fri ONLY.
- Cross-parking at the Tempe campus is NEVER permitted at the University Towers Parking Structure, ASU Fulton Center Parking Structure, Lot 72, designated visitor lots or residence hall Lots 35, 50 and 63.
At the Downtown Phoenix campus, cross-parking is permitted after 3pm in the DP1, DP2 and DP3 lots.
At the West campus, cross-parking is allowed after 4pm in the South Zone (Parking Lots 1, 2 and 20).
At the Polytechnic campus, cross-parking is allowed after 4pm in any green or red lot.
