Packard Drive South Parking Structure (Packard & 6TH)
This structure is a 6-level parking structure with 1647 stalls, 3 elevators, and covered parking on the top level. ASU's newest public artwork, “Prickly/Prickly/Prickly/Prickly/Spiny” (designed by artists Andrea Myklebust and Stanton Sears, includes five hand-carved limestone columns embossed with desert plant and lizard textures, and is surrounded by an acre of Sonoran desert landscaping.
The structure won the Southwest Contractor Magazine’s “Best of 04 Award-Concrete Project Valley forward – Award of Merit – Art in Public Places”.
