Polytechnic Academic Complex
The new Polytechnic Academic Complex is strategically located in the core of the Polytechnic campus, serving as a social and academic hub for students. This three-building complex – Peralta Hall, Santa Catalina Hall, and Santan Hall - provides the space for enrollment growth and program expansion of the Morrison School of Management and Agribusiness, the College of Science and Technology, the School of Educational Innovation and Teacher Preparation, and East College.
The buildings are designed to create indoor and outdoor spaces that take into consideration the desert culture. They are “green” buildings, that are built to meet the LEED silver certification standards. The complex is designed to add to the existing inventory of general university classrooms, classroom laboratories and other specialized instructional spaces, as well as faculty and departmental offices needed to serve a campus enrollment of approximately 10,000 students. Near Peralta Hall will be the Picacho Hall, a new lecture hall for campus, and the Applied Arts Pavilion, near Santa Catalina Hall, will include a new “black box theater” providing production and performance space for students.
