Recycling at ASU
Thanks to the work of countless staff, students, and faculty, ASU’s new recycling program will debut in late summer/early fall 2008. We can't thank you enough for your tremendous support and look forward to working with you to make this one of the best programs in the country!
In order to create a more efficient program, ASU recently purchased 22 trash and recycling compactors, nine of which are solar-powered. In addition, ten more Big Belly solar-powered compactor trash and recycling bins are about to be installed on campus, bringing the grand total to 16 campus wide. The compactors and Big Bellies will require fewer pickups, which in turn saves ASU money and reduces our carbon footprint.
ASU’s Tempe Campus Recycling Coordinator will be sure to keep the ASU community informed about additional changes as they occur.
