Recycling - Composting

We want your waste!

Composting keeps waste from landfills and provides a useful fertilizer for plants.

Please save your items that can be composted and drop them off at the point designated on the map.

Do save:

  • fruit/vegetable waste
  • coffee grounds/filters/tea bags
  • shredded newspapers
  • shredded paper (cross-cut preferred)
  • leaves/grass clippings
  • egg shells

    Don't save:

  • meat/dairy products
  • fats/oils
  • anything treated with chemicals

GROW ASU will use these composted materials to enrich the soil of our organic vegetable garden.

Please contact wesley.j.james@asu.edu for more information or if you're interested in volunteering to help compost ASU waste.

Composting is sponsored by the GPSA Green Projects Initiative.
