Sun Card

ID, Access, Payments and More...

The Sun Card is the official photo ID of all Arizona State University students, faculty and staff.

The ASU Sun Card is a multifunctional identification/access card that can also serve as a payment card by debiting funds from an optional prepaid account. Other affiliates of the University, such as contractors, may be issued Sun Cards as official identification.

Additional Benefits - The Sun Card, as your ASU ID card, may also entitle you to discounts at retail outlets, athletic or other public events.

All of these services are provided through the Sun Card. You can choose to participate in some, all, or none of the optional programs. For instance you can have Points, Maroon & Gold, and Sun Dollars and these will all be accessed using your Sun Card. The meal plans (Points, Maroon & Gold) are administered by ARAMARK, while Sun Dollars are administered by the Sun Card Office.

Important Information

  • Lost, stolen, or misplaced cards must be reported immediately to the 24-hour hotline at 480.965.CARD (2273)
  • Sun Dollars are non-transferable. Only the person pictured on the Sun Card will be allowed to spend Sun Dollars from that account.
  • Cash cannot be withdrawn from Sun Dollars accounts; however, refunds are available when you officially leave the university.
