Rules & Responsibilities
- Lost or stolen cards must be reported immediately to the 24-hour hotline at 480.965.CARD (2273) or report it online. If you don't have your card, someone else might, so do not take a chance on losing your Sun Dollars.
- Never punch holes or deface your card beyond its normal everyday use. Cards that have been damaged or defaced will carry a $25 replacement fee.
- The cardholder may be responsible for $50 or more resulting from unauthorized use of the card. Please refer to the initial account disclosure form for complete details about cardholder liability.
- Sun Dollars are non-transferable. Only the person pictured on the Sun Card will be allowed to spend Sun Dollars from that account. The cardholder may be required to sign a receipt for goods received.
- The minimum online contribution to your Sun Dollars account is now only $1. The minimum in-person (at counter) contribution is $20.
- Cash cannot be withdrawn from Sun Dollars accounts; however, refunds are available when you officially leave the university (by graduating, withdrawing from the university or terminating employment). Refunds for students are credited to the participant's university student account. Refunds for all others are mailed to the last known address. Balances left in the account carry over to the next semester and from year to year.
- The cardholder is responsible for maintaining a valid Sun Card, which is in proper working condition. The Sun Card is the access device for the Sun Dollars account. The card must be presented at the time of purchase and shall be the only means of accessing the participants account. The Sun Card office is located inside the Union Station (downstairs) of the Memorial Union, and in ASU Bookstores locations at all campuses -- Downtown, Polytechnic and West.
- Accounts which remain inactive for more than 18 months may be subject to service fees.
- Refer to the Sun Dollars initial account disclosures for more details.
- Sun Dollars refunds are granted upon leavng or graduating from the university. All refunds must be submitted to our office by U.S. Postal Mail, fax or in person using the Sun Dollars refund form.
