If you have a Sun Card, you already have a Sun Dollars account! To activate, all you need to do is add money.

How It Works

Sun Dollars is a pre-paid services account managed by the ASU Sun Card Office. It works similar to a bank debit card except that cash cannot be withdrawn (however, refunds are available when you transfer or leave the university). You simply put money in your account and then present your Sun Card to any of the participating merchants to make purchases.

Sun Dollars Off-Campus Merchants

Sun Dollars allows you to go to participating off-campus merchants to use your pre-paid account. These merchants accept your Sun Card to purchase various food and retail items. Some merchants also allow for discounts when using the Sun Card.
