What the University Club will achieve in the coming months

  • Hiring a director of natural resources and purchasing
  • We are currently in negotiations with a local ranch to fulfill most of our beef product needs
  • We are developing a complete “carbon neutral event” as an earth friendly option for our clients to choose
  • Creating a program which allows clients to make donations to help off set the carbon output created by guests attending the event
  • Working to better educate all of our chefs on seafood choices
  • Changing out lights in our facilities to new energy efficient options
  • Goals are already in place to cut all of our energy consumption by 10%
  • Purchasing environmentally friendly or alternative fuel vehicles
  • Bringing all linen use back in house to insure all cleaning agents are to our standards
  • Eliminating all unnecessary waste from our events
