What the University Club will achieve in the coming months
- Hiring a director of natural resources and purchasing
- We are currently in negotiations with a local ranch to fulfill most of our beef product needs
- We are developing a complete “carbon neutral event” as an earth friendly option for our clients to choose
- Creating a program which allows clients to make donations to help off set the carbon output created by guests attending the event
- Working to better educate all of our chefs on seafood choices
- Changing out lights in our facilities to new energy efficient options
- Goals are already in place to cut all of our energy consumption by 10%
- Purchasing environmentally friendly or alternative fuel vehicles
- Bringing all linen use back in house to insure all cleaning agents are to our standards
- Eliminating all unnecessary waste from our events
