West Campus Classroom/Lab II Building
The CL/CC Building, with a distinctive notch in its roofline, contains general purpose and computer classrooms; science laboratories; studios for art, dance and music; and Information Technology. The Statistics Lab is a computing and consultation center specializing in statistics. Students enrolled in specific College of Teacher Education and Leadership classes use the CTEL/Intel Multimedia Lab to work with multimedia materials.
The building was built in two stages. Phase One opened in spring 1991. Phase Two opened in spring 2002, making it the newest construction on the West campus; also it received the “Best of 2004” award from the Southwest Contractors Association, sponsored by Construction Services Group, in the category of "Education Project/University."
The round walls of the CL/CC Building surround a circular courtyard featuring dancing water spouts -- and a black marble, notched saucer, five feet in diameter, that spills water into a pool and then along its flow down an 11-foot terraced spillway.
